If you’re sick, you need to keep your smile in mind while you’re curled up in your blankets and cuddled to your tissue box. -Keep up with brushing and flossing, no matter how tired you are. It’s important to brush twice a day and floss once a day. This is especially important because some types of medication promote cavities, like those that contain high amounts of sugar.

-Drink plenty of liquid, especially water. This can help you stay hydrated, get over your sickness, and wash the bacteria in your mouth away.

-Throw your toothbrush away when you are better. This can help you avoid getting sick again because you won’t be using the same toothbrush.

-Keep bacteria away from your mouth by gargling with salt water or by rinsing your mouth with antibacterial mouthwash. This can help you keep your mouth healthy and clean.
