Here in the beautiful bay area of San Francisco California, we want to give you the smile of your dreams. Thanks to the modern advances in dentistry, more people are turning to cosmetic dentistry than ever before. Dental veneers have been a very popular and successful way of making your smile flawless for years to come. Here at Niloufer G. Hamsayeh, DDS, we understand how small chips, stains, and other imperfections in your smile can leave you feeling self-conscious. While there are many different ways to whiten your smile, dental veneers can also improve the other imperfections.

The veneers are thin porcelain shells, custom designed to match the structural shape of the teeth in your smile. The porcelain material can be color matched to be indistinguishable from the enamel of your natural teeth.

At the start of the process your Dr. Niloufer Hamsayeh will want to examine your teeth. It’s important to make sure that each tooth has strong enough enamel to safely anchor a veneer. If one or more teeth has been compromised by tooth decay, past dental work or simply has a thin enamel layer, the dentist might recommend having that particular tooth be fitted with a crown.

Once it has been confirmed that all of the teeth in your smile are strong and sound, your dentist will remove a small amount of enamel from the face of each tooth to create enough texture to cement the veneers in place. Once completed, Dr. Niloufer Hamsayeh will then create an impression of your teeth and your bite pattern. The impression is then sent to dental lab where your custom veneers are created.

When the veneers are ready the dentist will schedule a second appointment to cement the veneers into place. Once the veneers are in place, you will have the smooth, white smile you’ve always wanted!
